Bump connects iPhone to Pc

Bump

2 weeks away ‘till I moved from android to iphone (unrepeatable insults from the audience), I’m discovering the wide range of services (and limitations) the apple universe gives to its users.

Personally, one of the worst bug is being unable to use bluetooth to exchange documents between iphone and desktop.

With iCloud, Apple launched Streaming Photo. This service syncs automatically all your picture taken by iphone to your pc.
But what if I need to move pictures on a computer without my iCloud account, and maybe the usb cable is lost God knows where?

The easiest way is Bump, a free sharing photos app using a single touch between two smartphones… And to my astonishment even between smartphone and pc.

How it works

Choose pictures from Bump

Go to the appstore, download Bump latest version and run it.
Choose the pictures you want to send to pc.

Now open your browser and visit https://photos.bu.mp. You’ll be asked to switch the localization service on. It would be better to switch on the iPhone localization too.

Now you have to get your iPhone close to your pc space-bar and hit it with your smartphone (a reaaaally soft touch if we’re talking about a mac keyboard).
A vibration will be the proof that you did right.

Connect iPhone

What remains is to conferm the iPhone and pc connection, and in a few seconds you will see the picture on your browser.

You can download the entire package or share pictures either by link or facebook.
